Last Thursday, June 20th, 2024, the air around Arlington Heights buzzed with excitement as Wayne Enterprises Chicago opened its doors in a grand, celebratory style. From the ribbon-cutting ceremony to tantalizing culinary displays, the event was nothing short of spectacular. And oh, what an evening it was!
A Night to Remember
The event kicked off at 4:00 PM at our shiny new location on 2616 S Clearbrook Dr, with industry leaders, event experts, members of the press, and city officials gracing us with their presence. The evening was all about celebrating innovation, forging new relationships, and, of course, indulging in exquisite cuisine and memorable conversations courtesy of Eleganté Cuisine, Corky’s Catering, and Metropolis Ballroom. We promised an evening of celebration, innovation, and appreciation—and boy, did we deliver!
A Cut Above: The Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Our esteemed CEO, Thomas Wayne Manetti, and Vice President, Didi Guang Manetti, were joined by Mayor Thomas W. Hayes and other city officials to officially unveil our state-of-the-art facilities. With a snip of the ribbon, we marked the beginning of a new era for Wayne Enterprises Chicago, symbolizing our commitment to excellence and our exciting journey ahead.
Inside Look: Tour of Our Facilities
Guests were then treated to an exclusive tour of our cutting-edge kitchens and elegant event spaces. It was a peek behind the curtain at where the magic happens. Our top chefs, renowned for their culinary prowess, demonstrated their skills live, preparing sumptuous tastes that left everyone craving more. It was a showcase of culinary artistry that truly highlighted the passion and creativity of our team.
Chef Duke Kim, our sushi maestro, was a particular highlight. He mesmerized everyone with his precision and artistry, crafting beautiful sushi rolls that were almost too stunning to eat—almost. Each roll was a perfect blend of flavors and textures, a true testament to his skill and dedication. From the delicate wrapping of seaweed to the meticulous placement of each piece of fish, every step was a performance in culinary excellence.
Over at another station, Chef Didi Salgado demonstrated the fine art of carving a perfectly roasted prime rib. With practiced ease, he sliced through the tender meat, revealing a beautifully cooked interior that had everyone’s mouths watering. The rich, savory aroma of the roast wafted through the room, drawing guests in for a closer look. Chef Didi’s expertise was evident in every slice, as he served up portions that were both generous and perfectly cooked.

The grand opening wasn’t just about showcasing our new space; it was about building bridges and establishing connections. Our expert team engaged with guests, discussing future trends, opportunities, and the latest technological advancements in the industry.
